He trusted in God’s Word and placed his confidence in God’s promises. In view of what followed, it must have appeared to Daniel at first that his prayer had not been answered. The plotters came and found him praying and petitioning his God (Dan. 6:11). Since Daniel prayed publicly three times a day, it probably didn’t take a great deal of skill
